Charles Sheeler ( link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Sheeler ), move over–there’s a new Industrial Artist in town! What a fine composition, Michel!

And Oh WoW! I’ve just found my birthday present! I now need a Charles Sheeler book. I did not know him, although I expect I’ve seen his work over the years, in that short dimly lit section between the impressionists and the twelve foot tall blood red painting with a white squiggly stripe down the middle….

And since we are in the industrial landscape, how about a trip into the world of another great american artist: Andreas Feininger ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andreas_Feininger ) . But more than Industry: the patterns, the structure, the crispness of black and white!
